Some tutorials or guides found on the Internet recommend you to do it, but Goread.io strongly discourages you from doing it. Why not? Because the main thing that counts to develop your community on Instagram and get collaborations with interesting brands is engagement! So yes, buying thousands of followers will increase your number of followers very quickly, but these people are robot accounts, also known as “bots”, that will never engage with your posts.
Having 1,000 followers but 4 likes will not really help you and will instead arouse suspicion about your activity. Your credibility will then be seriously compromised and it will be difficult for you to progress in the social network.
Lastly, keep in mind that most platforms have fake profile and follower detectors, like Goread.io!
What about automation tools?
There are many tools for influencers. We already present them here in our article 10 tools for influencers. But automation is not one of them. Many sites promise you wonders and guaranteed results with organic growth and real followers. Actually, it is about automating “likes”, “follows” and “unfollows”, and automatic comments. Instagram has strengthened its security policy against all these automated programs and detects them in most cases.
You could end up with an account blocked or even deleted for using these types of services. There is nothing better than spending time on the platform, commenting, sharing and liking posts with other users and your community. It may seem like it will take a long time at first, but your efforts will pay off in the end.
In short, participate in the platform, discuss with other influencers, and collaborate! Be rigorous and regular in your content, and don’t succumb to the lure of easy followers. Becoming an influencer is a long-term job. Have a long-term vision, do things with passion! You’ll have fun if you’re passionate about the subject, you’ll probably meet some great people, and of course you’ll create a loyal and engaged community that will be by your side!
